The History and Aims of the Association |

Romanian Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy was founded in 2000 as a professional, non-profit, non-governmental organization. RABCT represents an interest group for people involved in the practice and theory of behavioural and cognitive therapy.
The Aims of the Association are to:
- Promote the development of BCT in all applicable settings in accordance with international standards for good practice.
- Set standards for and provide training in BCT for those who want to obtain professional qualification in this field.
- Provide the opportunity for members who meet the minimum criteria to become accredited.
- Establish connections with other world-wide organizations with similar aims.
- Provide a forum for discussion of matters relevant to BCT by organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, congresses and other scientific reunions.
- Disseminate information about BCT by editing or sponsoring reviews, journals, bulletins, leaflets, books, etc.
